Meet Tiana, your pet groomer! (:
My journey into pet grooming began with something very simple—a deep love for animals. For a long time, I wasn’t able to have a pet of my own, so whenever I had the opportunity to be around dogs, I treated each one as if they were my own. Every wagging tail, happy greeting, and unique personality reminded me just how special they are, and that’s when I realized I wanted to dedicate my life to caring for them.
Wanting to provide the very best care possible, I committed myself to a comprehensive two-year professional grooming program. During that time, I learned every step of the grooming process, from proper bathing techniques and coat preparation to drying, brushing, de-shedding, nail trimming and filing, ear cleaning, and safely completing breed-standard and pet-style haircuts. My education also taught me how to properly handle dogs of different sizes, ages, coat types, and temperaments while always putting their comfort and safety first.
Pet grooming is so much more than giving a dog a haircut—it’s about building trust, creating a calm environment, and making every pet feel safe and cared for. Throughout my training, I also learned the fundamentals of animal health and wellness, including recognizing common skin and coat conditions, identifying abnormalities that may need veterinary attention, practicing proper sanitation, understanding canine behavior and body language, and handling pets safely and compassionately. While groomers are not veterinarians, having this knowledge allows me to provide a safer grooming experience and to communicate important observations to pet owners when needed.
One of the things I love most about this profession is that there is always something new to learn. Grooming techniques, products, styling methods, and breed-specific trims continue to evolve, and I truly enjoy expanding my knowledge through ongoing education and hands-on experience. I believe that becoming a great groomer means never stopping the learning process.
Patience, kindness, and genuine compassion are at the heart of everything I do. I understand that every dog is different. Some love the grooming process, while others may feel nervous, anxious, or be experiencing it for the very first time. I take the time to earn each pet’s trust, work at their pace whenever possible, and make every appointment as positive and stress-free as I can.
I also understand how much your pet means to you. They are not “just a dog”—they are family. That’s why I take the time to listen to each owner’s wishes, understand their concerns, and tailor every groom to meet both the pet’s individual needs and the owner’s expectations. My goal is to create a grooming experience where both you and your companion feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.
For me, pet grooming is more than a career—it is my passion. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a happy dog leave feeling clean, comfortable, confident, and loved, and knowing I’ve helped them look and feel their very best. Every pet that walks through my door is treated with the same love, respect, and gentle care I would give my own, and I am truly grateful to do what I love every single day.
